Pool Rules
The pool usually is open from May to September from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Please note that there is NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY and you swim at your own risk. During the pool season we ask that everyone be courteous to others by cleaning up after yourself when you leave the pool area. We ask that anyone using the pool follow the pool rules.
All homeowners and/or tenants, currently residing in the home, and whose dues are up to date can use the pool. (If you are a renter, please check with your landlord to dispute unpaid dues, not the board.) Either the owner or the tenant are granted access, not both
Two key fobs are assigned upon receiving a signed copy of the pool rules. Fobs can be turned on and off by the board and can be replace at a cost of $15 for the first replacement and $25 for the second. Lost fobs should be reported to the board immediately for deactivation.
Rules
All children, 12 years old and younger, must be supervised by an adult (18 years or older) that is a competent swimmer and who is within the fenced pool enclosure.
The pool gate must be kept closed. DO NOT give access to the pool to anyone outside your household.
No smoking and/or vaping allowed within the fenced pool enclosure.
No breakable containers or alcoholic beverages allowed within fenced pool enclosure.
No eating or drinking in the pool.
No running, pushing or rough play in or around the pool, No explicit music allowed. Abusive, offensive, or profane language and shouting are prohibited
NO DIVING ALLOWED.
No large swim toys, tubes, floats, or water balloons.
No hairpins or jewelry with sharp edges to be worn while swimming.
Swimsuits must be worn while swimming. No thong style or see-through swimsuits, cut-offs, jeans, or other inappropriate attire will be allowed.
All infants must wear swim diapers.
Please use the restroom provided and not the pool or surrounding common areas.
Use the trash can provided to keep the pool area clean.
No pets allowed, except for qualified service animals, are permitted in the pool area.
Thunder/Lightning - Exit the pool and pool area immediately. Re-entry will not be permitted until a 45 minute window of no thunder or lightning detection..
Lifesaving equipment is for emergency use only. Do not use it for play.
Ladders into the pool are to be used for entrance and exit purposes only and shall be always kept clear.
Anyone entering the pool or pool fence area outside of the pool hours of operation is considered trespassing.
Be considerate of those residents who live near the pool. (Keep noise levels done and when parking do not block driveways or the flow of traffic.)
Guest and Reservations Policies.
A neighborhood member (age 18+) must escort all guests. A guest is someone not permanently living in the residence. The escort must stay with the guest at all times while using the pool.
Resident adult children (age 18+) may have a maximum of 2 guests at least 18 years of age.
Pool reservations: the pool cannot be reserved for exclusive use. If a neighborhood member wishes to host a pool party, they must have it approved by the board using the Reservation Form. They will need to post a sign at least one week in advance at the pool entrance area with their last name, date, and time of the party (4 hour maximum reservation). Be aware you cannot keep other residents out. The requesting neighborhood member must be present inside the fenced pool enclosure at the pool parties for the duration of the party.
Rule Violations, Consequences and Limited Liability
Homeowners/Parents are strongly encouraged to go over these rules with the rest of their family and guests to ensure all the rules are understood and followed.
Any individual(s) who are reported to be/or found to be in violation of any of the pool rules will be reported to the KGHA Board and possibly the Prattville Police Department depending on the severity of the action. If a KGHA resident, tenant or guest violates these rules, that individual’s use of the pool can be suspended for a period not to exceed 60 days at the discretion of the KGHA Board.
KGHA is not responsible for any accidents or injuries in or around the pool and common areas. There is no lifeguard on duty, and you are to swim at your risk.
Any person who damages the property surrounding the pool, the pool liner, water, pool furniture or pool enclosure to include fence, gate and landscaping can be held responsible for full replacement cost and/or labor involved. Vandalism will be reported to the PRATTVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT. Any person(s) caught vandalizing will be prosecuted and held financially responsible for repairs.
